About

“Sustainability” is often a misunderstood buzzword, but it’s not just about planting trees, recycling, or climate change. It’s about making the world a better place in a myriad of ways. This is because the core of sustainability is connections — realizing how everyone and everything is connected and how we can work together for mutual benefit.

Although there are a lot of big problems in the world, we all have the power to make the world more sustainable. You don’t have to be perfect, and you don’t have to give up comforts. Sustainability is a journey, and the first step for many is simply working to live a better, happier life.

The title of the blog is a nod to John R. Ehrenfeld’s definition of sustainability: “the possibility that humans and other life will flourish on Earth forever.” This definition inspires me to create my own flourishing and show others that sustainability is not about just “sustaining” it’s about making things they best they can be.

I hope that by sharing my knowledge, and own experiences and struggles with self-improvement and trying to live more sustainably, I’ll help others recognize their own power and find their own path to Flourishing.
